It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted anything really. Turns out running a barber shop while in medical school takes up a lot of time. In fact, that’s what I’m going to be writing about today.
For the month of September (yes, I realize that was two months ago), Cuts by Cam donated all proceeds from the barber shop to aid in hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. Maria was Puerto Rico’s largest natural disaster in over a century, knocking out the power grid, water systems, and much more. Several of my peers in medical school have been personally affected (or their family), and I felt that this was the least I could do to help out.
Thanks to all of my customers, I was able to contribute $430 to ConPRmetidos‘s project for long-term relief for the island. If you want to donate to the cause (would definitely recommend if you have a couple dollars to spare), you can donate here.
